Mairin NiChonghaile RVN

I qualified from the RCVS in the summer of 2006. I started my training in August 2001 and struggled with the academic side of things. In order to further my studies and training I moved to England where I finally qualified after 5 years. Although at times it was a struggle I never stopped loving my work and I have a definite passion for it.

As veterinary nurses we are essential to the veterinary industry, our practices, client education and most of all to our patients and deserve an organisation to protect and encourage our enthusiasm and passion for our work.

I joined the IVNA because I think it is a fantastic organisation for trainee and qualified veterinary nurses alike.

With so many new changes and advancements in the veterinary nurse industry and education system it is more important now than ever to have an organisation that will unite us and give us a much needed voice.

I am proud be part if the IVNA and hopefully can be of help.
